North Yorkshire Police have received reports of a theft from a vehicle that occurred on the 19/06/26 at around 00:10hrs on Gauk Street, Fairburn, where an unknown offender has entered the vehicle and stolen valuable items from inside.
🔒 Crime Prevention Advice Vehicle crime, particularly targeting work vans for tools, remains a concern. Police urge vehicle owners to take simple precautions:  Remove tools and valuables overnight wherever possible  Park in well-lit, secure areas or use garages if available  Fit additional security measures such as alarms, deadlocks, or vehicle tracking systems  Mark tools and equipment with identifying details or forensic marking products  Consider installing CCTV or motion-activated lighting near parking areas Even small steps can significantly reduce the risk of becoming a victim
